CrossFit Kids/Teens creates movement foundations for children. Kids inherently move well, but what we do not use we lose and with age comes immobility and mechanical faults that often times lead to chronic injuries. Using their own body weight and extremely lightweight implements CrossFit Kids will develop body awareness as innately as learning their ABC's, and much like you never forget how to ride a bike, these lessons will carry with them the rest of their lives. As the kids transition into adolescence weights can start being administered to movements to build strength on the foundation they have created. The teens must demonstrate proper movement and consistency in that movement before any weight is slowly added to their program.
